Abstract
The goal of my final paper it to prove that it is worth spending time on selecting different listening activities using authentic texts above the students' level and thinking of various pre-listening and follow-up activities, which on one hand help to make easier the work with roughly-tuned input, on the other hand they require to use the reading, speaking and writing skills as well. I consider foreign language teaching as a way of helping students to learn to communicate in another language. It means that I brought into the classroom different real-life situations, I did not use finely-tuned input intentionally to demonstrate and to aquaint students with those difficulties that every foreign learner and user had to overcome once. After the theoretical introduction of listening itself I will show the process of this work and the degree of students' development comparing the pilot group's results with those of two control groups'.
