Abstract

In the first part of my thesis I will analyze some of the reappearing images in the book entitled Fall , On Your Knees by Ann-Marie MacDonald without going into very much detail due to the confined space I have. I will examine the role and the significance of the hope chest, and the cave. In the second part the role of texts in the English 'classroom is discussed,'.; in particular what kind of texts should (or could) be brought into the lesson at what stage and how.
