Abstract
This material is written about two books, the first one is an English and the other one is a German course-book. I use one unit from both books to demonstrate how to teach conversational situations and compare the two books from this point of view. The main topic ofthis work is 'Conversational situations' so I write about oral communication in the first chapter. On the other hand it is about two course-books so the second and third chapters contain course-book set analysis. The last chapter consists ofthree parts. In the first one I describe the two units in the course-books, what are the main topics, subtopics and new grammar. In the second one I collected activities with pictures to the main topic and in the third one other types of activites. I tried to select activities that can be used in both languages and with both books.
