Abstract
President Nixon's resignation was due to his misleadings during the Watergate investigation and also to the different organizations: the press, the FBI and the CIA that wanted his removal. I will try to examine how Nixon's role in the Watergate cover-up led him to the end of his presidential career and how the press, the CIA and the FBI were connected to the resignation of Nixon. I will try to prove that his attempts to cover up the case and to hide the evidence of the Watergate investigation slowly moved him towards his fall, and that his stepping down was also owing to some powers seeking his resignation.
