Abstract

Following the sudden changes in the world, the techniques and methods which are used in schools have to change too. It means challenge also for the teachers and the students. We use computers and the Internet in the lessons, and both students and teachers have to have some computational knowledge. Computers can be an effective help, but they can not deputize teachers totally. In my thesis I will examine some types of teaching CD-ROM's and some possibilities of using materials from the Internet in foreign language lessons. I will describe some computerized English lessons which I taught. In connection with these lessons, I will make a research about students' feelings and the colleagues' opinions about using computers in English lessons. At the end of my thesis I will summarize my experiences and the results of my research.
