Abstract

This thesis examines the possible relationship between urban stress and child abuse. By examining the consequences of urban stress and the causes of child abuse in families I will prove that urban stress can be one of the possible causes of child abuse. I will demonstrate it by studying the characteristics of general stress and deducing urban stress from them, by analyzing some of the causes of child abuse and, finally, by comparing the two phenomena.
