Abstract

This thesis examines the motivation and attitude of Hungarian primary school children at puberty towards English language learning as a subject. I will prove that starting second language learning at an early age and a good teacher help children in developing positive attitude towards language learning. Motivation that comes from family background also contributes to develop positive attitude in children. In my thesis I am going to investigate the proportion of these three factors.
