Abstract
This thesis is concentrating on those special kind of children who are called the Highly Sensitive Children (HSC) and whose education, schooling requires very deep consideration. These children had been thought of as children suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) until recent studies have proved that highly sensitivity is something that cannot be called a disorder. Highly Sensitive children are more sensitive than others and they do not settle easily among strangers. When it comes to take HSC to school for the first time it is crucial to choose the right type of school for them. After scrutinizing the Montessori way of education and studies written on Montessori schools, also carrying out several class observations, I found that Montessori schools are more advantageous for HSC as other type of schools. Through the analysis of the needs of Highly Sensitive Children and the Montessori method I will demonstrate the authenticity of my statement.
