Abstract
My thesis examines the benefits of teaching animal names for young learners showing the psychological and methodological background of early language acquisition. Since scholarly knowledge should be combined with practice, I carried out a classroom research to demonstrate how effective teaching animal names can make our lessons. To justify my premise I interviewed both my English and German teacher colleagues and also conducted a classroom research. In this thesis I would like to present my experience.
