Abstract
This thesis examines the special features of the Hungarian and Danish Educational Systems focusing on English language learning. I willemphasize the importance of learning languages and demonstrate different teaching customs. After joining the European Union the improving in this field became a central purpose. I will present my personal experiences I gathered during my studies and practices in Hungary and in Denmark. I will prove that the two countries' educational systems have similarities but at the same time they are very different especially in point of language learning. In contempt of the differences, education and the focus on languages are determinative factors both in Hungary and in Denmark.
