Abstract
This thesis examines the role of Piggy's character in Lord of the Flies from William Golding. I will show and analyse his story from his first appearing until his death in the novel, searching for the reasons why the other boys treat him so bad and unfair. Using each part of the writing about Piggy, and contemporary aricles and analysis about Lord of the Flies, I will demonstrate that he is a very important and valuable member of the group who needed more care and apriciation from the others. I will prove that inspite of his phisically disadvantages he is a good person who deserved to be treated in a much better way by the others.
