Abstract

This thesis examines the difficulties of choosing the best language coursebook as possible to students. I will prove that students' needs and what other things are influenced the choosing process. I made a questionnaire to find out which is the most important criteria for choosing a textbook. I will demonstrate one example what I find the best for my pupils. We should not be looking for the perfect course book, which meets all our requirements, but rather for the best possible fit between what the coursebook offers and what we as teachers and students need.
