Abstract
Present thesis examines the ways of integrating modern technology in ELT classes for the purpose of achieving a much higher quality of language learning. The main focus will be on the usage of computers and the information provided by the World Wide Web (WWW), which opens many opportunities in teaching English and also in other subjects in school. I would like to show that an Internet-based tool called Web Quest , which is well known and used in many countries especially in the US, is a very potential and useful way of acquiring language as well as other types of knowledge and their for it should be used in Hungary for teaching purposes. I will also provide my own Web Quest for the purpose of presenting its benefits in ELT classes and also provide information on why it is such a great tool in the hands of a skilled teacher.
