Abstract

Chapter One: Few words about Afro-Americans. Chapter Two: The reader can get some knowledge about what the white child learnt about blacks in segregated schools and what were its effect on black children; how and when they ended segregation. Chapter Three: In this chapter one can familiarize oneself with the explosion and process of the Civil Rights Movement; its principles and the death of Martin Luther King,Jr. Chapter Four: The reader can learn about the rise and results of Black Power. Chapter Five: One can read about the idea and instalment of Affirmative Action; average people's reaction to it; Ronald Reagan's attitude towards it; and Christopher Jenks', a sociologist, opinion about it. Chapter Six: In this last section one can observe black people present-day situation; and their current leader: Jesse Jackson.
