Abstract

In my thesis I would like to introduce the importance of coursebooks why it is good working with or without them. I focus attention on criteria of choosing a textbook, deciding on a checklist, what the main questions of evaluation are. I tell some words about the role of coursebooks, analysing and evaluating textbooks. I examine the use of textbooks, claims of them and finally I advise four guidelines for evaluation. More detailed description of my thesis can be found in the introduction.
