Abstract

In Arthur Miller's dramas the underlying principles are lies. In this thesis, I will examine the impacts of lies on the relationships and I will observe the factors that lead to the failures of the main characters. I will prove that all these heroes escape to their dream worlds because they are unable to face the consequences of their past acts. All these heroes are individuals who have moral codes. They consider their ideas the most important ones, so they rather die than abandon them.
