Abstract

In schools one ofthe most important things is the motivation ofthe students. Teachers want them to fulfill the requirements and reach good school achievements. There are lots of differences among students. In this thesis, I will examine the psychological background of motivation and some possible approaches of it. I will demonstrate the main motivational factors of the teaching-learning process. Using the results of my research that was carried out amongst year six students (specialized and non-specialized group), I will prove that the motivational differences between the specialized and non-specialized group are in existance. I will try to ascertain what the main reasons ofthese differences could be.
