Abstract
In this thesis I try to demonstrate the differences between the Communicative Method and the Audio-Lingual Method between two age groups. I introduce a comparison of the two teaching methods through a classroom research I did during in my three week long teaching practice at the Szandaszőlősi Primary School. In Chapter II. I write about the nature and charateristic features of primary shool pupils in two age groups. In Chapter III. I try to reveal how we acquire the mother tongue and why we learn languages. In Chapter IV. I try to give a general picture of a foreign language lesson. In Chapter V. I compare the Communicative and Audio-Lingual Method in theory and in practice.
