Abstract

This thesis examines the differences and the similarities between three famous musicians ofthe second half ofthe 20th century: Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain. I will prove that despite Kurt Cobain is said to be similar to Jim Morrison, because of their lifestyle, harshness of their songs, interesting poetic works and drug addiction, more similarities can be noticed between Cobain and Jimi Hendrix, when talking about life stories, difficulties in career and relation to drugs. Using their biographies, songs and other artistic works, I will demonstrate the differences between Morrison and Cobain, and also the most important similarities between Cobain and Hendrix.
