Abstract

The purpose of this thesis work is to make an attempt at analysing corpora created with the help of three English course books. It is to be defined which ofthem offers vocabulary of the widest range and of the sufficient quality covering different general topics in language education. The results are supposed to reveal that the three books in question have the same characteristics with regard to the focus of the analysis, however one of them is likely to represent better material.
