Abstract

Listening takes a significant part in the processes of natural and effective language acquisition. I will show the importance of listening in the initial stages of different language learning processes where the acquisition of language is natural and it results effective usage. I will examine that teachers contribute to the natural way of foreign language acquisition provided that they are aware of the different types of listening materials and the characteristics of young learners to adapt such listening activities that are in harmony with the abilities of beginners. I will demonstrate the different types of listening materials which ensure natural language learning. I will prove by means of a classroom research that teachers highly esteem listening which takes precedence over other skills at the early stages of language acquisition.
