Abstract

In my thesis paper I will write about Shakespeare's drama, Richard III and also about the film adaptation of the drama directed by Richard Loncraine, which puts the drama in the 20th century. With the comparison of the two I hope to prove that the theme of dictatorship is still topical. Shakespeare gave an eternal description of an autocratic regime and depicted a character that has all the features of a dictator.
