Abstract

Ernest Hemingway wrote A Farewell to Arms in 1928. The writer is known about his ars poetic which represents that experiences help to mak ea novel more realistic and sincere. In this work we can also find some elements from the novelist's life. In the thesis, the parallels between Ernest Hemingway and Frederic Henry, the similarities among Hemingway's acquintances and the heroes of the novel and some places that are present in the novel and the writer also knew, will be demonstrated.
