Abstract
In this thesis I will draw attention to the importance of creative teaching in the English Language classrooms through music, songs and the related actions. I will demonstrate that the aim of using music in order to produce a complete, well-rounded personality was as significant from the antique times, as it is today. Examining the similarities of language and music, the characteristics of young learners and of the English songs I found is, that teaching songs promote correct pronunciation and word stress in English, and music also has an effect on the general development of the child. Its rhythm and the movement, which is so closely allied to it help children to memorise. Singing and playing games generates a relaxed and inspiring language learning atmosphere, in which students can create themselves and through the involvement in activity they are able to produce their own thoughts in English. They also share the enjoyment with the teacher and with each other.
