Abstract
The problem that effects one out of every ten kids all over the world is dyslexia. Although to some people this disorder may not be very noticeable, it can really sneak up on you. Most of the time kids with dyslexia aren't recognized until they are about nine or ten. At the age of ten these children start learning a foreign language, and it can cause serious problems if we do not recognize reading difficulties in time. The most important thing to remember is that is takes time to solve. The purpose of this present dissertation is to prove that the adaptation of the Hungarian Tolnai-method for English is beneficial for teaching English as a foreign language to dyslexics. I will demonstrate three major parts including reading process, cardinal points of dyslexia, and the beneficial aspects of the Tolnaimethod.
