Abstract
In my thesis I am going to investigate the role relationships in the language lesson. Teachers and learners have several roles during the teaching/learning process. The influence of their cooperation is mutual. These roles are influenced by social expectations and the characteristic features of the participants. With the help of two questionnaires I examined how teachers' and learners' behaviour contributed to the classroom learning process. My questions referred to the participants' personality, types and their interaction. Teachers and learners were given the same questionnaire in order to make a direct comparison of their answers. The results do not show significant differences between teachers' and learners' answers. The statements, which were given the most or the least votes, are the same at both groups of participants. I think that the results were predictable because of the nature of my questions. Both the teachers and the learners prefer that type of teacher who is patient and warm-hearted, makes his lessons interesting and authentic and copes with behavioural problems successfully.
