Abstract

In my thesis my main focus is on communicative grammar teaching. I intend to prove the importance of grammar teaching and grammar learning. In the first part I clarify the meaning of communication and demonstrate the Message Model with particular respect to the sociolinguistic aspect. I discuss what communicative language teaching is and I explain the components of communicative language ability. In the following chapters I discuss the theoretical background of grammar teaching and the teaching process in practice. I also present how I teach the present perfect tense communicatively through a lot of exercises in Budatétény Secondary School.
