Abstract

In my thesis, I will examine Disney films of the 1990s. I will prove that Disney represents genders in conservative, traditional roles. Moreover, despite the Disney Company's interest in multiculturalism, there is racism in some of its movies. My conclusion is that Disney's films, quiet unashamedly, assign rigid roles to women and people of color. Similarly, these films generally create a restricted view of family values.
