Abstract
This thesis examines the power of religion, the most powerful force that leads people to take serious action. Religion can be very motivating, it can make a person become a fanatic and do things that can not be explained resonably. Religion is above every rule, every law and order. For the sake of religion, one may cause harm and « sorrow to another person, or to a nation. In this research, I will present the life and condition of India’s Untouchables, and I will prove that Hinduism is the most important factor that has caused, and still causes, harm and sorrow to them In the end, I will demonstrate that the Untouchables live’ will not change until the manual, ’Laws of Manu’ , is engraved inside every Hindu.
