Abstract
This thesis analyses the most important factors that influence the process of developing communicative skills, giving a brief outline of the possible activities that can be used in the primary school English classroom. I will prove through classroom research that seventh-year students frequently rely on set phrases and grammatical structures when they communicate as well as third-year students.
