Abstract
The aim ofthis study is to examine how important the role of chaos is in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. It will also try to prove there is an obvious link between the existence of chaos and the development of darkness throughout the play. The greater chaos grows in the play the more evil Macbeth and his wife and their deeds become. As they are unable to control it they will become its victims and finally they get destroyed. To prove my statement I will analyze the characters and their actions through a close reading of the tragedy.
