Abstract

Controversial issues represent a great challenge for teachers. Due to the cultural differences between England and Hungary as an English teacher I can encounter some topics that are extremely misunderstandable for Hungarian children. Therefore I should be entirely well prepared in order to I can accurately explain these complicated facts. In my thesis I would like to introduce an extremely controversial topic, namely the animal testing and I will prove through the case study of experiments how we can solve these questionable difficulties which frequently occurred in our profession. Examining that I will use different books and websites concerning animal testing, the rights of animals and laws. I am going to use all of the facts about these controversial issues to explain the significance of dealing with sensitive topics in teaching. Despite the complexity of the topic I demonstrate that it is worth dealing with.
