Abstract
This paper discuss the phenomena of slavery, which has existed over several decades in human societies and based on money, greed and inhumanity. When the British Parliament passed the act abolishing the Transatlantic Slave Trade in 1807 made only the first step in a long way which is continuing nowadays as well. Many forms of contemporary slavery exist illegally today in die UK and olher countries, too, and there has not been found any solution for the problem yet. However, it is promising that governments already admit its existence and are ready to make certain measures for die sake ofthe case.
