Abstract

This thesis examines the connection between the architecture of Palladio and that of Inigo Jones through the characteristics of the buildings of the two architects. Apart from these, I will look into the influence of Palladio and Inigo Jones as an influence on the later architects in different countries. I will prove that Palladio's theory had a great effect on the works of Jones. Using the theoretical book of Palladio, and many pictures about thebuildings, I will demonstrate the facts that show why Inigo Jones is a Palladianistic architect.
