Abstract

Symbols - like all the living - are subjects to the periods of growth and destruction, perfection and regression. If their power reached the top, they fly under the path of everyday life until they become conventional expressions, that have no connection with the primeval experience; their meanings are growing narrow and their deep essences are disappearing; other symbols change them. When their time arrives again they come to the surface and begin to flourish. Texts that have some symbolic meaning ( literary works, poems, myths, tales, the Holy Scriptures, the texts of intellectual trends ) can be explained in more than one level. In this sense it means the three levels of interpretation. However, the fact, how one explain a text cannot refer to any qualifications, judgements. These levels exist because of the different demands on searching for the essence. 1. The level of historical interpretation: It has an analogical connection with the material, physical approach. 2.The level of mythological interpretation: It has an analogical connection with the level of unconsciousness and partly collective unconsciousness. 3.The level of intellectual, mental interpretation: It has an analogical connection with human and archetypal contents of men. The examination leads us to the final reality and truth through the symbols.
