Abstract

This paper is supposed to deal with detective fiction. In my diploma work I am going to act according to the following schedule: in the first place I am going to examine the authors themselves (Edgar Allan Poe and Arthur Conan Doyle) focusing from a general overview onto two specific short stories: The Purloined Letter and A Scandal in Bohemia. The following item on my imaginary agenda is going to be the analytic comparison of the short stories, after which I am going to endeavor to draw a conclusion to end my diploma work with. The methodology chapter is going to deal with the presentation of my topic in classroom use.
