Abstract
This thesis examines the changing of high-school students' motivation in special English classes during the four years. I will prove that at the beginning of secondary school in special English classes by most of the students extrinsic motivation dominates, and by the end of high-school most of the learners have a quite strong intrinsic motivation. I will demonstrate what are the main methods teachers can use to achieve that most of their learners enjoy the English lessons and like the English language very much. I will write about some tasks and activites which motivate high-school students the most and I will also write about the way different features of teachers' personality influence the adolescents' motivation.
