Abstract

In the last few decades, teaching languages to children has become a crucial question. This thesis investigates those factors, which should be taken into consideration while teaching English to young children. It shows a guideline to the psychological understanding of the nature of children and also their physical capability. Teacher's role is demonstrated, in order to classify a suitable teacher type for children. There is an aim to describe children's motivation as they have various reasons for being involved in language learning. Oral activities-songs, rhymes and games-are investigated as crucial parts of young children's language classroom work. I present the importance of drawing in teaching young beginners. By the end of the thesis, it will be proved how important it is to teach children properly.
