Abstract

This thesis examines the operations and objectives of Acadia National Park management. In the following pages, I prove that the management of Acadia National Park is capable of sustaining the delicate balance between sustaining natural, cultural resources of the park, and providing an unimpaired recreational environment for visitors. The management has accomplished it by adopting such measures that have proven successful for both in the resource protection and visitor use of Acadia National Park. These measures are presented in the following part of the thesis. Furthermore, the appendices provide complimentary information on the geographical, historical background, and the partners involved in the management of Acadia National Park.
