Abstract
In my thesis I am going, to reveal the necessity of English learning and the great importance of English teachers. The current situation of language, mostly English, teaching in Hungary is unsatisfactory. It is my opinion that this situation can and must be changed. I will present my idea to the reader by analysing the answers to my questionnaire given by Hungarian students of English in which they focus on their English teachers' personality, her/his attitude towards language teaching and her/his rapport with the students. I will stress the students' ideas about some changes in connection with a more effective way of English learning and teaching.
