Abstract

This thesis examines the thoughts of the British people towards the Union Jack and the different feelings towards it today. Using articles from contemporary British newspapers, magazines and website, I will also demonstrate the arguments for and against the use of a Union Flag in the United Kingdom at the beginning of the 21st century. Finally I will show the possible future of the Union Flag.
