Abstract

My thesis describes what kind of a drug marijuana is, what its effects are, and how it is used or abused. I am going to deal not only with the historical aspects of the substance but also with its influences on American society. I have used the materials of several acknowledged sources to prove that marijuana is not as dangerous as it is suspected and that it is no worse than alcohol. Throughout the text I tried to demonstrate that marijuana does not deserve to be stigmatized as the surrogate of the poor.
