Abstract

This thesis is about Hungarians in Melbourne. It examines their successiveness in keeping their national identity so far from the homeland. I will demonstrate that Hungarians in Melbourne do not want to forget about their origins and cultivation of native culture is of great importance for them. Relying on a survey I made among the second generation Hungarians, I will prove that Hungarians have been able to keep Hungarian culture through two generations.
