Abstract
In recent years, expanding Internet and interactive multimedia offer exciting opportunities for students such as free online courses and practice tests, to explore information relevant to their interest; and check what they have learnt. The Internet provides resources also for language teachers and the use of Internet-based teaching materials has gained increasing popularity among them. The real question is not whether but how to exploit Internet-based reading materials into the classroom circumstance so that it can be suitable for improving students' communicative abilities. My study investigated the processes and outcomes of integrating the Internet into English class circumstances at Ványai Ambrus Secondary School in Túrkeve. It includes classroom observations carried out in the last academic school year and an attitude survey conducted among students. The results are positive: students reported high level of satisfaction about their language development.
