Abstract

This paper investigates the potential use of communicative activities in traditional Hungarian schols by language teachers with different amount of experience. It begins by considering the literature background of foreign language teaching in Hungary and in Europe with special attention to the significance of Communicative Language Teaching. The study is based on the observation of teachers and their 10-year-old and 17-year-old primary and secondary school students in Békéscsaba.
