Abstract

Shakespeare ' s love tragedies, with all his other tragedies, are outstanding in the history of English literature. I will examine his well-known love tragedies: Romeo and Juliet, and Othello. How they reveal love and what effect does it have on the lovers. I will prove that love does not destroy but glorifies the loving couples. Using books connected with my topic, I will illustrate that love, though it is painful and demands sacrifice, is one of the most valuable things in our life. We never know when will we find our love, early as Romeo and Juliet, or later as Othello. They all found love in life and fulfilment in death.
