Abstract

This study will present several of President Reagan's visions that determined his foreign policy. The paper aims to discuss whether these ideas were fulfilled and it also sets as an objective to confirm that Reagan's foreign policy reached a most remarkable success in US-Soviet relations. I used Reagan's autobiography, his speeches, some documents and other works to prove that having firm convictions and being able to stick to them is more important than book-learned knowledge in forming a successful foreign policy.
