Abstract

This thesis examines the administration of John Adams and John Quincy Adams, who were the first father-son presidents in the USA. I will prove that although the political situation was different in the times of John Adams from that of John Quincy Adams, they were engaged in politics similarly and often decided according to similar principles. Using documents and contemporary books, I will demonstrate the similar points in their politics.
