Abstract

Present thesis focuses on teaching foreign languages to pupils with learning difficulties within normal classroom settings. Children with learning difficulties are not mentally handicapped with low IQ, and they are able to acquire foreign languages at an appropriate level if they take part in special developmental programs. Although their abilities differ from normal children's, their knowledge can be extended with strenuous effort in case ofpositive attitude. Though their language will not always be correct grammatically, it is worthwhile teaching foreign language to them,as they will be able to communicate, read and understand written and oral communication. Despite their claim to particular education, language teaching for them must be successful in regular classes even if their results can not achieve the average learner's level.
