Abstract

This thesis aims to examine the value and role of humour in the process of teaching and learning languages. It intends to show the development of a sense of humour in children and how this sense can help learning. It will present several advantages and beneficial results of humour through some examples. Furthermore I will detail how teachers can use humour and its beneficial influence in the lesson. A research on the value of humour in the language class will be provided to prove the essence and importance of humour in language learning.
